A REAL CONVERSATION.
I’m SPC Elhadji Wagne, an assistant recruiter with the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard.
Thinking about life after high school? Working already? Just exploring? Bring your questions. We’ll talk about your goals, what service involves, and whether the Guard could fit.
A parent or guardian is welcome to join the conversation, too.

ANSWERS.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE.
Does asking for information mean I’m joining?
No. This form asks SPC Wagne to contact you. It is not an enlistment application or contract. You can ask questions and explore your options without committing.
Can I go to college or keep my civilian job?
Many Guard members combine service with school or work. Initial training is full time, and later training, activations, or deployments can require extended time away. Talk with your recruiter about the commitment before making plans.
What if I need help with the ASVAB?
Select “ASVAB practice & study help” on the form or text SPC Wagne. Ask about practice testing and study support. A practice score does not guarantee an official score or qualification for a job.
Could I be deployed away from Hawaiʻi?
Yes. The Army National Guard serves state and federal missions. You may be activated for emergencies or deployed away from home. Your recruiter can explain how those commitments may affect your plans.
